Every year, new rose varieties join the garden at Heirloom Roses and it’s so hard to narrow down which ones my garden has space for! Whether it's a fresh color, a strong fragrance, or improved disease resistance, there's always something to get excited about. Here are the three roses I can’t wait to grow: 'Top Cream,' 'Caramel Kiss,' and 'Cosmic Clouds.'
Top Cream
'Top Cream' is a Hybrid Tea rose with large, creamy white flowers. Each petal unfurls in a classic, elegant shape, making it a standout in any garden or bouquet. This rose isn’t just about looks—it also has a gorgeous fragrance that adds to its appeal. With strong disease resistance and a healthy growth habit, 'Top Cream' stays beautiful throughout the season with minimal maintenance. It’s a great choice for those who love traditional roses with a soft, neutral color palette.
Caramel Kiss
Bred by Brad Jalbert to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Select Roses, 'Caramel Kiss' is a Hybrid Tea rose that draws you in with her warm, inviting colors. The large blooms display a mix of cream, pastel amber, and caramel shades, giving them a soft, blended effect. The glossy, dark green and healthy foliage contrasts beautifully with the flower tones, making this rose a striking addition to any garden. It also blooms repeatedly throughout the season, ensuring a steady display of color. With strong disease resistance and a light, sweet fragrance, 'Caramel Kiss' is a great pick for gardeners who appreciate roses that are both hardy and beautiful. Just wait till you smell this one!
Cosmic Clouds
'Cosmic Clouds', bred by Christian Bédard, is a Shrub rose that can also be trained as a Climber in warmer zones. It produces large clusters of semi-double, lavender-pink blooms with a silvery white reverse, creating a soft look that reminds me of stars in a deep purple night sky. Each flower has over 75 petals and a strong, fruity fragrance that lasts well in a vase. In addition to its beauty, 'Cosmic Clouds' is known for its disease resistance, standing up well against powdery mildew, downy mildew, and rust. The plant grows vigorously, making it an excellent choice for filling spaces with continuous color and fragrance. Pollinators also love this rose!
While my wishlist is quite extensive, these three roses are my next “must-haves” with their mix of classic elegance, warm tones, and soft pastels, along with strong growth and disease resistance. Whether you're looking for a standout Hybrid Tea or a lush Shrub rose, 'Top Cream,' 'Caramel Kiss,' and 'Cosmic Clouds' are worth adding to your garden this season.
